First and foremost, I'm a Christian. That doesn't mean what so many in the mainstream media seem to think it means, which is usually "not Jewish" or "not Muslim" or "not" some other religion. It means Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Yep, born again, saved, the whole nine yards. I'm here to serve Him as best I can. For example, I operate a website and forum for Southern Baptist missionaries.

Now why, you may ask, is he putting that in his profile? Well, because that's the most important part of who I am, hence my "profile". Plus, I'm an editor for the Open Directory Project, and since ODP data can be freely used on any website, it means my profile might show up on a site that I do NOT approve of. So, if this isn't the official ODP website (dmoz.org), then I have no affiliation whatsoever with the site, its content, its owners, etc.

My mission in life (one of them, anyway) is to help Southern Baptist missionaries with their web and internet needs. For some, I host, design and maintain their websites . I'm not a missionary, but I have a heart for missions, so this is something I can do for them, to share even the smallest part of their burden, so they have more time to devote to what's really important; winning the lost to Christ.

Oh, and I also have a site that features news from charities and non-profits. There are also some fundraising ideas thrown in for good measure.

Most of the charity information on this site will soon be moving over to the new, rebranded site at orgville.com.

With that out of the way, a brief glimpse into my psyche :) I love John Wayne movies, and I'm currently catching up on the old black & white Gunsmoke episodes. I'm a big fan of the Atlanta Braves. I have a cat named Chance. I think Columbo is awesome (ahh, just one more thing, sir), and the Three Stooges just crack me up (nyuk, nyuk, nyuk). I enjoy watching JAG, CSI, Gilmore Girls and Smallville. I read and re-read Nero Wolfe mysteries, and I'm interested in Bible prophecy. When I was a kid, I wanted to be Batman.

I stand with and love the Jewish people "for he who touches you [the Jews] touches the apple of His eye" -- Zechariah 2:8b. Israel belongs to them, because God said so. That's good enough for me.

I love my family, I should exercise more (and eat less), and my favorite drink is half-Pepsi, half-Mountain Dew. Try it. It's good. Seriously. Updated: (because I know you just gotta know)... I now drink mostly tea or Dr. Pepper, but you still should at least try the Pepsi-Dew :)
